Stacked timber

Arches is a housing project executed in CLT (Cross-Laminated Timber) and HSB (‘Hout Skelet Bouw’, Timber frame construction).

The building consists of various stacked forms, chosen to provide diverse living spaces ranging from 60 to 120 m².

Various functions

This building plays with the concept of enclosure in relation to sensitivity of living. The form extends over different domains within the household, facilitating the opening and enclosing of various functions.

Inside the homes, the round shapes are achieved using felt. Creating a round and soft ambiance without the need of complex engineering.
