Villa JM7

Sustainable technology

Vincent van Gogh would have been jealous of this spot. We were invited to realise this villa in his beloved Nuenen. Majestic grey in the abundant greenery of this beautiful municipality.

Our clients wanted a sustainable and lifetime new-build home.

In 2005, very little was known about the availability of sustainable technology. Even so, solar panels and heat pumps were used as starting points for the design.

High-tech orientation

The selected materials for this design have a high-tech appearance. In addition to technological solutions, the orientation of the house and sustainability were used as starting points, with large expanses of glass to the south and west and closed façades to the north and east.

Technology

All over the place

Future-proof

To keep both the cellar and the first floor accessible for the future, a large void was created in which a domestic lift can be installed without constructional alterations.
