A villa full of character

From a former 1960s house in a charming village to a luxury villa. Craftsmanship and a deep love for natural materials, building, and architecture take center stage here.

“On this site there was already a house with a story, but it was rather cramped and could use more light and space. That’s why we extended the existing house by building an entire villa around it, integrating old and new. The result is a modern villa with long sightlines, a combination of light grey bricks, white plasterwork, and striking façade details made of pressed dark bamboo.” – B-too Architecture and Interior

Happy 25th birthday B-too

Today, B-too is celebrating its 25th anniversary! And when you register your company with the Chamber of Commerce on the 11th of November, you know a themed party is a must. That’s why at 11:11, we’ll raise a toast along with all our B-group colleagues to the past 25 years, fully in style and in the colors of Lampegat. Together with Joep, we’ve taken a look back at these years.

“Reflecting on 25 years is hard. It’s such a significant period of your life… and it flew by. How do you summarize that?! I think you could compare it to watching your children grow up. They go through various phases in their lives, and all those phases together ultimately make up those 25 years…

B-too started in Eindhoven on Kruisstraat, moved to Bleekstraat, then to Torenallee, and later to building TT in Strijp-T. After the acquisition by B-group, we stayed there for a while, but this year we have (truly) joined the B-group in building TQ.

Each phase was special, but this last step feels like ‘the next step.’ It’s like your child is now standing on its own two feet; it’s out of your hands. They have their own life, they can manage on their own. Amazing! That makes the moments when my advice and experience are still called upon even more special.” – Joep Verheijen, former director

With the transformation of a former 1960s home into a luxury villa, we’re featured in the latest edition of The Art of Living. For this project, we collaborated with construction company Van Rijswijck and Sparq Tuinen. Our passion for architecture, natural materials, and craftsmanship is visibly at the heart of this project.

“My passion for interior design only emerged after I completed my studies in healthcare. That’s why I decided to pursue an interior design course, and I recently graduated. The compact team at B-too, which works on a wide range of projects, really appeals to me. We’ve moved!

After 10 years in our own office, we are saying goodbye to the iconic former Philips building and joining our sister companies B-invented B.V., B-smart fundering B.V., B-leaf systeembouw B.V., and B-happy realisatie B.V.

Thanks to the collaboration between these various disciplines within the B-group, we now offer broader expertise than just architecture and interior design. This enables us to be an even more comprehensive partner for our clients, continually surprising visitors, observers, and residents with a conscious and vibrant experience.

We remain at our familiar location on Strijp-T in Eindhoven.

Hey Victor, why work at B-too?

“I have been active in the interior design industry since 2006. I gained experience at various design studios and companies, which familiarised me with a wide range of different assignments. Until recently, I ran my own business, where I had the opportunity to shape and lead some beautiful and interesting projects.

Ultimately, I found that as an independent entrepreneur, I missed the collaboration that comes with being part of a team. This feeling was particularly strong after I accidentally met some B-too members in London at the end of last year. They must have sensed this too, as a few months later, I received a call asking if we could work together.
